The funeral service was beautiful, and I was more emotional than I expected I'd be. Derek and his brother both handled things so well! Derek gave a reading, and he didn't falter once. He has such a great speaking voice. So rich and deep. Everyone tells him he should do voice over work.

The funeral will be on Tuesday. Derek is such a strong person! He went to work today, and so far he's been taking everything really well. The funeral will definitely be hard on him, I'm sure thats when the finality of it all will set it.

you'd actually be surprised how well you can learn to cope. . .It sucks and is hard for a time, but then life has this way of moving on, you get past the grief and live, sometimes you still cry and have fond memories, but death is eventual. . .we all have to pass that veil sometime. . .I don't know. The main thing is it can hurt and shit, but you can learn to live again, life can forces you, the sun still rises and sets and you still have yourself to take care of. . .
