"every time i see your little face it brings me back"

last night i got a phone call at about midnight from one of my best friends of almost twenty years. even with the muffled and disguised voice asking me a silly question about my internet service, i knew it was him. he is a hot shot music producer and had just gotten back from amsterdam. we talked about our current lives, sent each other dirty pictures, and giggled like maniacs. we laughed about the fact that i remembered the first year that we had sex and he remembered the last year.
then we started talking about our past lives. we were so young and so naive back then, but there was always this underlying excitement. we just KNEW that there was more out there for us all, just waiting. we were music lovers and musicians, waiting for our big break. we loved and we hated and we fought and made up.
years later, his band got signed and did really well. i moved to hollywood at booked bands at a famous club.
we talked until 4am, and when i hung up the phone i couldn't help but cry about the happiness that i felt back then. about the girl i once was and the friends i once had.
last time we talked i told him about this site and he joined. he was looking at my pics and that's what prompted the quote at the top. he doesn't have a profile or journal and he never will, so you can't be friends with him and i like that. my special, secret piece of heaven around here. i love you swinger, always and forever.

thanks for the well wishings. my toe surgery was sick and i won't gross y'all out with the disgusting details. as for the other, i'd rather not get into it.
