Sunday: Father's day. Poor dad prepared lunch for everybody! He likes doing that, though. Took me 2 hours to drive 15 miles home afterwards, and some asshole cut me off. Soon enough the asshole was waving at me, and I realized it was my own brother.
Monday: Mindless TV evening.
Tuesday: Vegetarian Indian food. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, it's my favorite.
Wednesday: La Otra at the Orpheum Theater.
Thursday: Visited my fabulous friend in the Inland Empire. Watched Downtown 81 again.
Friday: Very pleasant dinner with Bijoux and DigDug.
Yesterday: Another walking tour, this time it was Art Deco. Our guide was cute in an older, manly, conservationist kind of way. Knew hardly anything, though. Afterwards, had lunch at Clifton's. Then I went and had a pedicure. I was right by the window, and some cops cruised by really slowly and waved at me. I looked around to see if any of the other patrons witnessed this surreal happening, but alas, I was alone.
Today: Don't know yet. We'll see...

Soot Bull Jeep is the best Korean BBQ in the city. You leave smelling of charcoal. It's not a cheap meal but so good. You get plates of uncooked meat (and some rather, erm, other parts if you want) and cook them over a grill in front of you. You have rice, lettuce, all sorts of kim chi, garlic and such. Wash it down with a HITE Korean beer and some Korean sake (forgot the name!) and it's amazingly good.
Mom's is fairly cheap and NO FRILLS. It's in a mini mall. Most of the employees dont speak Korean and I have only gotten the Bulgugi (beef with spices and veggie on a simmering plate) and the soup but....it's again amazing with all the rice, kim chi, etc. You should go...and invite Emilygee & me to come along with you. It's so damn good
