Things that people saw a lot of at the Brickyard today.

Indy fans have taste!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are very few grammatical/spelling mistakes that make me laugh -- other than when someone is on the Mets message board calling someone else an 'ideot' for mistyping a statstic . . .that always makes me laugh -- though it happens more frequently, to no one's surprise on the Yankee's MLB.com site.
See, I don't post correcting those folk becaue well, I rush through shit on the internet -- it's a conversation not a pleading, and no one is paying for my time. . . If you really read I am sure you'll find a good 5 or 10 fuck-ups in this post, because it'll be a longy by my standards.
But I comment here because I saw my favorite knee-slapper of all time reactivated in a Dirty Talk thread -- someone whipped out "for all intensive purposes" instead of 'for all intents and purposes.' I've actually corrected this mistake in a brief that was headed to the Second Circuit, despite the partner arguing forever that it was really 'for all intensive purposes' -- the tipping point to him should have been
WHAT THE FUCK DO PEOPLE THINK 'ALL INTENSIVE PURPOSES' MEANS ?????
'For all intents and purposes' is pretty God damn comprehensive -- that means there is no intent OR purpose, for which _____ does not mean ____ .
But are you "intensive' people really trying to say that
"For only really INTENSIVE PURPOSES _____ means _____"
A fucking head-scratcher brought to you by America
The Country Too Stupid For Irony
Question -- Alanis Morisette: Dumbass for not using any examples of irony in a song called 'Isn't it Ironic'
OR
GENIUS -- for naming a song "Isn't it Ironic' which has no irony in it, thus making it the literal opposite of its title and hence, ironic?
I vote genius, but I always thought she was kinda cute.
Alanis, I love you and your smiling use of common-law irony (otherwise known as Murphy's Law).
yeah
i used to be much more abrasive to look at, but now the hairs grown out, the attitude is retired, that kind of thing
sadly, one of the biggest reasons for behaving myself is living here, where life can be hell for creative and expressive people
which they say happens everywhere
but i dont know if theyve ever been to lynchburg
big ups to carolina, though, those people can throw down
