It finally stopped fucking raining!!
I love getting any precipitation but Los Angeles was becoming ridiculous. The first day, drivers were freaked out and slowed down like they should. By day three everybody thinks they're an expert and starts hitting the freeways at 80 miles per hour in a downpour. And I've never seen so many potholes over all of the surface streets. These storms must cost a fortune.
But we're now nearly halfway through January which, in Southern California, means that spring isn't far away. I'm stoked to be on the way out of "winter," which is always my least favorite time of the year. Hell, when I was on the East Coast a couple weeks ago the entire landscape just looks dead to me. Apparently, the locals just call it "dormant," but you could have fooled me.
And, with my the wetsuit I just borrowed from my brother, it looks like I'll finally be able to go surfing again. I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend.
