Five days of unemployment. A good start.
Things with the man formerly known as my boss have taken a turn for the surreal. Long story short: company going out of business, but he doesn't want to tell any clients as they may pull their work and bail. Since I'm no longer employed, there's no way for me to guarantee to my clients that their jobs will be completed correctly (and odds are the jobs won't get done right). To protect my clients, I tell them that the company is going out of business and they should be vigilant about making sure their job is done right.
This seems to have bruised the ego of my former boss, who has now vowed not to help me find work.
Well fuck him! I'd do it again in a heartbeat rather than put these clients at risk. The sooner I have nothing to do with these people the better.
