There's no point in crying over spilled milk. What's done is done but to sit around and become depressed about my situation is just a waste of time. I'd rather be trying to work out how to get OUT of this fix than wallow in my own misery.

Motherfuckers!

This is my last day of work until vacation and I'm pretty stoked. A nice two days away from the office will be much appreciated. I've got my bud for the weekend and I think I'd like to blaze and go watch LOTR. Wheeeeeee! Any SGLA'ers wanna join me, lemme know!

Then as of Monday, I'll be MIA until January.

Q: Who is your favorite jazz musician and/or vocalist? Only one, please! Mine is definitely Coltrane as I played tenor saxophone in jazz bands. The guy was a genius and his ballads are unparalleled.

Word of the day: spoonerism (n.) - a transposition of usually initial sounds of two or more words (as in tons of soil for sons of toil).

I get manic about spoonerisms sometimes and drive my girlfriend crazy with them. Instead of "I love Pee Wee Herman" I'll say "I love Mee Wee Perman!"

Rock the Casbah becomes Cock the Rasbah. Etc., etc., etc.

PS: Erin and I are officially attending the SGLA New Years party. Since she just got fired and her birthday is December 31, if you're inclined to buy her a card or even a small gift, it would be greatly appreciated!

Does Etta James count as jazz? Love her and Billie Holiday. And am I not interesting enough to be on the friends list? I would be honored........
