My back is KILLING me. It feels as have somebody took a ball pin hammer and struck me in the small of my back. This might be from sleeping on my stomach and hyper-extending my back, but in any case, Im having trouble just sitting up straight.
I saw an incredible show on PBS last night about the Black Plague and how certain pockets of people had developed a genetic resistance to the disease. Apparently, in some places, the plague killed over 75 percent of the population and could kill you within 2 days of contraction. The very interesting corollary is that a small number of people have shown immunity to the AIDS virus, which attacks the body in nearly identical fashion as the plague. Scientists are now studying these people to help find a cure. Awesome.
