Choo choo choo choo beep beep...yep, I just got back from Deerhoof and it was pretty goddamn fun. I'll chuck a review up in the concert reviews group either tonight or tomorrow (not that anyone actually checks it) along with some piccies. Two related points to that: firstly, check out a band called Holy Fuck. They're an innately danceable electronica act from Canada and they totally stole the show tonight. Seriously, so much fun! Secondly, why do some people even go to gigs anymore? All the bands were excellent tonight, yet I'd say around two thirds of the crowd never danced, moved or even nodded their heads, instead choosing to talk to their mates and clap politely at the end of each song. What's the point in buying a ticket and turning up if you won't make an effort to enjoy the show? Maybe I'm missing something.

Rant over.

In other news, bought lots of cheap CDs this week. Namely, stuff from:
Boredoms (Japanese noise)
Bee & Flower (think Fiona Apple)
Opeth (finally got Ghost Reveries)
Bumblebeez (Australian hiphop, y'all might've heard them on the SG DVD)
Terranova (Cool German triphop, Tricky does vocals on one track)
Fear Factory (Digimortal, it's shit)
Nebula (not too shabby stoner rock)
The Atomic Bitchwax (full live CD & DVD for 1. Score!)
Zyklon (Disintegrate, bloody blinding)

Finally, I'm now sorted for Supersonic festival next month. I get to see Mogwai and Sunn O))). Yay!

What've you fine people been listening to as of late?

Ah Deerhoof, seen them here. It was alright, but not the awesomeness that I had been hearing about.

Anyway thanks, keep your eyes peeled...
