Well, today I went for my "seasonal" haircut. I have my hair cut at a beauty salon by a beautician who did my mother's hair. She does a perfect job on my too-fine hair and then, because I detest a "hair shirt" and cut hair fragments down my neck, gives me a shampoo. You women are so damned spoiled if getting your hair...

I love it my nurse washes my hair. The scratching of my scalp is almost orgasmic!

"Anybody can look at a pretty girl and see a pretty girl. An artist can look at a pretty girl and see the old woman she will become. A better artist can look at an old woman and see the pretty girl that she used to be. But a great artist-a master-and that is what Auguste Rodin was-can look at an old woman, portray...

@ainoa @verde @rudeboy71 @maggie_fracture @texsin @roz @lita @roguerequest --  Thank you SO much, guys!!! It means so much to me that others see the incredible truth and beauty in this.  It was my own grandmother who both taught me this and taught me unconditional love. A 5x5 woman upon whose amplitude I, as an infant, slid soapily and gleefully down into the bathwater, she was my "favorite girl" and most valued teacher. I'll never forget the epiphany of looking at her in the nursing home and actually seeing this vivacious and vibrant teen-aged girl sitting there in front of me!!!  I didn't even think about rubbing my eyes because the Beautiful Truth she revealed to me was so clear and so obvious. It was at that time that my memory of Heinlein's words was tattoo'd into my brain cells forever.

To be seen for who we really are ... not some role (son, wife, teacher, etc.) or some 'symptom bearer'  (oh, she's the crazy one) or even the disguise (pretense, suit, uniform, etc.) we wear in public... but ourselves, well that's rare. And to have that 'self' be appreciated is quite special in my experience.   I somehow think that's what Suicide Girls ideally seek... to have their own special, personal, and unique beauty seen and appreciated rather than overlooked with some mild disdain for tats or piercings. As a nerd (or "egghead") throughout grade school who was bullied by the self-proclaimed 'cool kids,' I'm particularly resentful of being reduced to a 'type' rather than as an individual, uniquely myself.

Well, it was a terrific evening!  I was fortunate enough to meet several awesome young women and actually got to kiss @liryc !! (And she didn't slap my face, either!  Maybe she just understood Dirty Old Men need love too? Even if I'm not what "floats her boat.")  A good time was had by all ... especially the standees at the edge of the stage. (At my age, standing for 3-4 hours just isn't an option. Even with Class A painkillers.)  I have to say I have tons of respect for these beautiful young women and the example they set.  I'm a big "fan" of character, integrity, and love ... which I regard as the fundamentals of true beauty.  Call me biased, but I saw @liryc as the star and backbone of the show.  Her talent and passions overflowed!!! Thank you, luv!
