so i'm halfway done with the first pass of recording my new album (essentially a rough draft). it's starting to sound like a mix between Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Deftones, and Mogwai.
5 more songs to go. then a few days of practice and then time to re-record them all a second time around onto ADAT and with actual production techniques. this should take all of february. then i'll mixdown the first week of march. get it mastered and prep artwork and photos the 2nd week, and then send it off to get pressed. then rehearsal for the tour and the promotional blitz begins!!!
the studio is fucking freezing. and my feet start to hurt in there. i need to get some of those comfy fuzzy shoes.
i'm pretty happy with the results so far. but unfortunately i'm straining my voice on some of the songs. they're way out of my usual range. oh well.
