Well I just finished watching Lost Boys for the first time.
Yep you heard right, the first time, I never saw it when it came out. I guess i wasn't into that style when i was younger and by the time my vampire phase came thru I was a strict Blade phreak.
In other news my last Tweet said I loved my Macbooks remote control...
...well yes its awesome, I can just lie back on my bed and assert my influence upon my media stockpile <3<3<3
So here I am listening to Taj Mahal (Google it you young folkers) and seriously contemplating picking up the double bass again for the first time since I was twelve years old. Big thanks to bitten for the inspiration Shes a cellist but its a stringed instrument all the same...
I love Bass and I think rather than get a drum kit (I used to play the drums too) a bass would be more practical.
Plus I recently turned on to psychobilly/rockabilly and would love to start a band with my comrades here on camp.
Anyone else a big blues fan?
My parents are my source for all things blues as are their long time friends, I grew up hearing stories of them listening to artists like Jimi Hendrix in the top floor of a pub in Brixton way back when.
Not strictly blues I know but the influence is there and I thank them for it.
Do any of you have cool musical anecdotes to share? I have to rely on my family and friends for such 'coolness', the best I can come up with is seeing Sepultura, live, a few gigs shy of Max Cavaleras last with the band before Derrick Green took on the role of lead vocalist. I was only 16 and had a GCSE exam the following day!
Good times all round
