It's fun I suppose. I have to be at work 15 minutes ago.. and I'm eating shreddies out of the box. And visiting ye olde artsy porn site of course.
I have a new secret crush to confess.... The Aviator! That's right.. I know everyone will hate me for it. When you work at a video store you're not supposed to like big budget mainstream movies.. but I loved it. I just went and saw it at the cheap theatres the other day. Best 3 hours I've ever spent.. no joke.
My only complaint was that Leo doesn't age very realistically. More accurately.. he looks like he's 17 all the time. Even when he's supposed to be 60.. oh well.
It's so close to time to go back to the Yukon. It's really all I can think about. If any of you Canadians are going to be bored this summer.. I would highly recommend Dawson City Yukon.. probably the best place on Earth. I will spend the majority of my summer eating grapes in the sun on the banks of the mighty Yukon river. and nights will be spent drinking cheap beer and playing testosterone filled pool games or dancing to old honky-tonk country music till the sun goes down.. ah yes... Dawson City...

So yes. I'm leaving mid-may.. and it's time I start getting my shit together.. I'm going to pack all my worldly possessions in boxes and leave them with a friend. Then I'm going to buy a nice bike.. send it up there and hop on the greyhound bus. Ah, how exciting. Last year I met a girl with a pet mouse on the bus. (also on the website)

Look at it this way. In the city, if you want to hang out with someone, you have to call them and be like, "so, do you wanna go to a movie/go to the bar/go for coffee, etc etc."
Personally, I don't like this. It puts all this weird pressure on the situation. Everyone always has to be doing something. Does that make sense?
In Dawson City, however, it works something like this. If you want to hang out with someone, you just climb out of your tent and walk a few blocks down the street until you find them. Likely, they will be doing nothing as well. Then you can do nothing together.
It's lovely!
And if you feel like being alone, you just wander out of town, to some crazy beautiful cliff or something, and just sit there and reflect on how goddamn peaceful everything is.
Yeah, I know, I'm a big nerd. But I swear it is the best place on Earth.
