I've only been in one close relationship in my whole life. And no, it was comforting to know there was someone else that was so much like me. There shouldn't be anything negative about it. If you're really friends then you would want to be as close as possible. You have to decide beforehand if they're worth your time.

If you're not working, some hospitals have a sliding fee you can apply for. Usually it's if you go to a Medical College. It's something you could check on.
