Tonight I viewed, "The Big Seventeen", the second episode in my Dragnet set I picked up at Meijer for $8.99 (plus tax). Eight hours of early-50s Dragnet for nine bucks?! SYH is mighty pleased with this purchase. 
Now, this particular episode deals with that demon weed MARIJUANA.
These nice, normal, middle-class WHITE teens (guys & dolls) were ripping up the local theater because they were WACKED OUT on that demon weed!
Of course, some of these kiddies couldn't get high enough. They had moved onto HEROIN.
So our hero/writer/producer/director had to do his job & run down this pusher before he did any real damage to the neighborhood kids. Unfortunately, this pusher happened to sample his product...and died.
You heard it here, folks. Straight from the NBC archives of 1952. Smoke weed, go psycho, tear up your local theater, do some HEROIN, and die. All because of an innocuous little green plant.
