haven't been doing much of anything with video lately, so i decided to start looking back into VJing. found a program called arkaos that is so amazing i just went and spent the $321 to have it permanently. it's amazing, you just drag and drop video/pics to assigned keys, and you can mix live just by typing. it also can sync with an audio feed, and record live for future use. i want to buy a projector soon. with 4 friends that are djs it should at least make for more interesting/memorable performances. (besides at one of their gigs this year the room had one of those bought visual tracks playing, and i saw everyone like staring at it, all awed, and was like "wtf this is crap") i want to buy a projector anyway because i love the look, and have wanted to shoot video of projections.
so now i need to start shooting, and transfering old footage i've yet to take the time to digitize. i need to look into something to utilize DVD, because there ain't no way i'm buying media100.
i really enjoyed making a video for the Hartt collaboration project. i don't want to just collab with electronic music, i want to with any and all. even just live performance in general. but i really don't ever want to collaborate with another video artist unless we have the same drive, and skills, or at least if they are more skilled than i am (which is more likely) because i get really set in my ways.
with all this going on, and the koopman chair next semester where i'll be studying under visiting artists, most involved with interactive software i will be...
