There was a shootout with Police not even a half mile from my house today. An Officer was shot and from what the news said he is in serious condition. Hope he makes a full recovery. So many sirens and I've never seen so many Police vehicles in one area. There was also a shit ton of helicopters News, Police, and Medical Choppers all circling. An hour into this the guy set the place on fire. It ended up exploding and burning to the ground. Along with a little bit of conservation land behind the property. It must of bothered some hawks. I've never seen hawks in a group like they were. There was at least 8. Poor things.. The smell from the smoke was horrible. The burning vinyl siding and what not. It didn't help all the windows in my house were open. Gross. This kind of stuff doesn't happen around here usually.
As I was typing this a Press Conference came on. Officer Stephen Arkell was Fatally Shot today. My thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fellow officers. Rest In Peace.
