I had a great weekend up in Effingham, N.H. with some family. Something about that mountain air. As a kid, I always camped in a tent. Last year my parents bought a camper. It was such a different experience. Anyways, it was my parents, my Dads brother Chuck, and my Dads sister Mary and her husband Brian. Brian brought up one of his smokers and I couldn't miss a good Bar-b-que.
I got there at noon time Friday(just in time for ribs and chicken). They invited the owners of the camp site over for lunch. I was wearing my minor threat shirt again I say again because I mentioned it a few posts ago. Well, one of the owners Vaughn asked me about my shirt. He asked if I listened to Minor Threat and I told him yes then he said,"you're old school huh?". Why is it people always notice that shirt? Then he asked if I liked Motorhead because I have a Lemmy thing going on with my facial hair. I do like Motorhead but that isn't why I have my facial like that. I just think it looks good this way on me.
Being in Effingham brought back some good memories for my Dad, Aunt, and Uncle. They grew up with their dad working at the summer camp which happened to be right next to the place where my parents camper is. The stories my Dad and Uncle Chuck tell are always priceless. Even if I have heard them a couple times its always a good laugh. There always seems to be one story I never heard when my dad's side of the family gets together.
A lot of other stuff happened, but, I'm not going to get into all of it. There was this cute girl walking her dog that I wanted to talk to. She seemed like she was my type her purple hair helped me figure that one out. She was walking her dog so I thought to myself,"I'll talk to her next time she walks by". Just my luck, I only saw her the one time...Of course.
Oh, and on Sunday Vaughn came back over and asked me about how I would feel about going on the tour bus of Motorhead next time they come around. Who would say no?? I guess he knows someone involved with Motorhead..sweet deal. All this because of a T-shirt I wore. Interesting things always seem to happen when I wear that shirt. I should just wear it everywhere.
