Dude exactly. I try and only send friend requests to people that I actually consider friends (and I have friends requests disabled). Basically, if someone was to ask "hey man. I'm way low on cash this week. You think you could spot me $50 er so until Friday when I get paid?" and my response is "Sorry dude. I just don't know you well enough." I wouldn't add them onto my friends list.

You could take the 400 and maybe get a secured credit card with your bank. They often double the amount of the crd limit ie $800 limit. Then after a year they would switch it over to an unsecured card. Look into it.
