Friday... Operation "Sort-of-Extreme Kitchen Make-Over"
greeneyeddork is coming over and then he, I, my sister, and my brother are going to go at the kitchen. Scrubbing walls, taking down fixtures, and then... PAINTING! Oh, glorious day. It is amazing what a new paint job can do for a place. We've already done the rest of the apartment. Only the...

You too
I bought my ticket to London on Friday morning. I booked a seat on the same flight that my friend is on. December 29th through January 10th I will be in another country. CRAZY. I am super excited. My friend will be staying with me Dec. 19th through the 29th for the holidays. So, we will have about 3 weeks of hang out time together!...

i think you should take this information, do what you plan to do with it (sleep on it), then manifest this information into a dream. in this dream you need to tell my character exactly what we need to do with this information then go forth and dream about bunnies and sunsets. i will dream and get this information from you. i will then partake in a horrible nightmare that involes work(gay porn) and stage fright. i will wake up, pee, then subconsciously enter all this information into a government database. immediately after this, an agent with CTU in california will contact you by your undercover name "sparkles". he wlll ask you, "what time do you read the funnies on sunday?" you will reply with, "anytime you want me too baby." all information after this is completely confidential.
i will see you at the rendezvous point at 0 600 Hours.

it's more of an all night chasing you're tail kinda conversation.
something to do with the natural of man ,why are we here and what makes us human.
where are we on the evolutionary track and in which direction are we going?
that kinda stuff?

Yeah, everyone I knew in NYC had one. Keep in mind that traveling to Europe winds up costing several hundred dollars less from NYC and Boston than other places in the country, so that could also explain it a bit. Sounds like a great trip, you'lll have a blast, I'm sure.
Ssshhh - here's the plan. Everyone just reading the thread will get these details in a day or two, but here's what I'm doing...
The evening will be a sort of a night of darkness. My initial thought had been to make it purely industrial, alternative, and gothic. But there are already a number of clubs in LA that do that, and do it well. My goal, however ambitious or ludicrous as it may be, is to do something that's kind of exciting and never been done before. In this case, I'm combining the best elements of the underground music scene & burning man culture (some incredible nights that are more event than party or nightclub - there's art everywhere and a unique atmosphere is created) and the alternative/industrial culture (give people a chance to get decked out in fetish gear, lingerie, black, or whatever the hell they want to imagine as being The Apocalypse).
From there I landed the venue, a 1920's era Methodist Church. On the ground floor in the church I'll have DJ's playing alternative/industrial stuff, then later some darker ambient music. Upstairs in the big room, the music will have some bigger name DJ's, folks who typically specialize in house, breakbeat, and sort of a tribal breakbeat sound. All of them will be playing darker, heavier records than they normally get to play. Then outdoors I've got a few more people playing the breakbeat stuff (again, darker than they normally play. Not only are most of the DJ's I'm close with part of that scene, it's a big part of the underground music scene right now and I'm in the fortunate position that my friends are also some of the best breaks DJ's in the world... I have to take advantage of that, right?
In addition to the music, I'm working on getting the use of a number of video projectors. I've got friends who've done some really incredible and cool dark pieces of work, and I want to project things onto the interior and exterior walls of the church. I'm also recruiting a number of artists and photographers to display their work. We'll adorn the walls with cool, dark images. I'm also working on getting some sculpture pieces made or brought over (the only things I'm having made for the event are things I'll also be using for my camp out at Burning Man, so that way I'm not being wasteful). The venue has three good sized bars, so people can get their drink on, and then finally I've got my friend Voltaire doing a number of burlesque performances, and then a fire performance troupe putting on a few shows for me out in the yard. Those guys are incredibly talented, and even if they just did the same stuff they do at some of the regular 'burner parties' it would blow people away. I'm really excited that they're so into the idea and going to such great lengths. And finally I've got a professional event photographer working the event - he takes some amazing pictures, and will capture the evening quite nicely I think.
It's going to be a lot of fun, I think. And hopefully we'll raise a couple bucks for my camp along the way.

Uncle Cracker is the most horrible thing I have ever seen on TV. A cowboy in Rainbow Tye Dye. I think I have seen it all. What white man would name themselves 'Cracker' anyway.
Watching the American Music Awards is like watching a train wreck. Ooooohhhh, Anna Nicole.

Oh, poo! I missed you on AIM.
I guess that's what I get for folding socks. *sigh*
Yeah, when I first moved down here, I made a push to get into modeling. It petered out after a while, but I've been thinking about getting back into it.

Word on the street is that one of the downstairs neighbors came home to find the other downstairs neighbor's apartment on fire! Right under us! And our cats!
