you make the call on tuesday--do you support the war in Iraq? did you support the war on Iraq, or did you know better?

please remember that 23 US Senators voted against the war (including a Republican) and 133 Congressmembers. there was plenty of smarts to go around, but not a brain between McCain, Clinton and the poll driven hawks.

watch for yourself

Hillary makes me wary.

I hate the media sometimes.
I was watching the Today Show this morning and the statement made was: " Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are in a statistical dead heat.... BUT Hilary is leading 36% to 34%." *continues to scratch head*

sorry no naked ladies here, just excerpt from today's LA Times opinion page

Rosa Brooks--excerpt

Obama has good judgment, which trumps mere experience every time. On Iran, he called for engagement and a toning down of bellicose rhetoric. Clinton was instead fanning the flames by voting for an amendment favored by the Bush administration that called the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. Obama's judgment...

sweetbutch asked:
why do you like avocados?

because they're creamy & savory/sweet at the same time. awesome with raw peanut butter!!

and how are buddhism and christianity alike in your mind?

most of the Ten Commandments are based on loving thy neighbor & making correct causes based on wisdom and compassion -- similar to the buddhist philosophy of Cause & Effect: right action, thought, words create effects in proportion to whether causes were made of a pure & sincere mind/heart vs. causes made from greed, anger, hunger, animality.

i'm no buddhist scholar, so that is just my humble dos centavos. smile

...and a good Tuesday evening to you, Sweetbutch! aw, i do love trees... it's one of the many reasons my heart & soul are still in Washington state. smile

the journey you described above ^ sounds magical & healing.

wishing you many happy night-dusk... twilight-evening happyness-es! kiss

I work construction. You know how important that is? People depend on me.... No, seriously, he is Columbus's greatest export. We saw his show at the Ohio Theater in Cols., supporting "Tomorrow's Sounds Today" (late 90s?), and he was downstage signing yearbooks and high school programs. Apparently everybody there had gone to school either with him or his cousins. Readin', writin', Rt. 23... I got to columbus via the north, rather than up by way of Ky, but only because my dear momma overshot columbus on her way up and I had to come back... so I too am claimin' kin....
