I can't deny that, if I didn't know anyone in St. Louis, I wouldn't like every go there again. Again, this is no slight to the place, but, if I were going to be going for Midwest hot & humid, I'd choose Chicago every time. All that said, my Missouri-based friends (who'd been married a few months ago in Jamaica) had a couple of parties held this weekend in celebration of their nuptials and I'm pleased to have been in attendance. The bride and I actually split a bottle of wine on Saturday (the groom doesn't drink): that might not be much for most folks I know, but, as I'm a drinking lightweight, I was thankful to get in a 45-minute nap before our evening plans commenced.

nope, just hungout with friends. didn't see any fireworks, watched mr show and ate chinese food. so, it was actually a rather good july 4. i would have loved to eaten watercourse, but they're closed on monday's anyway.
