Sometimes, I don't know why my luck is good. I'm glad, but I just don't know why. An editorial columnist for the Seattle Times found my bus pass and returned to HR and the security guy who took my new picture for my replacement ID didn't charge me for it. Thus, the expectation of $120 in costs became $0. I can easily deal with that.
The summer solstice is here. That can only mean that winter is on its way back. Back when I lived in Maine, that arguably pessimistic viewpoint could have bothered me. But not any more.

if it where me, some hobo would find it, use it to get on a bus, comandere it, then plow it into another bus full of school children or a retirement home, causing it to burst into a huge fireball, and incinerate everyone in close proximity.
