I'm closing in on getting a new car. Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. I had wanted a hybrid, but, thanks to my lousy manner of saving money, its costs are beyond what I want to pay. I guess that I just hate the environment!

Recent weekends have brought me to Vashon Island and Denver / Boulder. Of course, I'm too lazy to actually add captions right now, but I'm figuring that you probably don't need them, anyway.

I saw a homeless little person today. That was a first.

Friends will be staying at my place over the long weekend. One day at Bumbershoot and two days of showing them around the city portends an enjoyable Labor Day for me.

I do so enjoy those people who go well out of their way to tell everyone that they don't watch television. I think that I'll make it a point in the future to tell everyone that I don't listen to AM radio.

I'll bet that you've always wanted to know about my original hometown. Tell me about yours...if you dare!

UUMMM there's a huge cat on top of that car dealership. whatever

My hometown. West Salem, WI. It's a pretty small town of about 4 thousand people. When your in middle school in West Salem, if you want to be in the marching band you have to dress up like a "marching farmer". I kid you not. You wear cut off jean shorts and a red and white checked button up shirt. These shirts are purchesed from the purina dog chow company. ( well I don't know that for a fact but they look like it) You also wear a little red and white checked hankie tucked in the back pocket of your shorts. The band teacher wears blue jean overhauls and the same shirt as the rest of the band. Along with this he wears a straw hat and directs his 6th, 7th and 9th grade "marching farmers" with a pitch fork. whatever Yes I was in this Marching Farmers band.

God bless America
