I've tried. I really have. I've known people who absolutely loved it. But I can't help but think that Sex & The City was a terrible show. Give me Absolutely Fabulous any day of the week.

There were definetly a few great episodes out of however many SATC episodes that were made. I have seasons 2 and 3 on dvd- and I rarely ever watch the whole sets anymore.

I think I'm the only person on this planet with a uterus who hasn't seen an entire episode of that show.

I love that you hate it.

That makes me happy. biggrin <------ See?

I can't sing for shit.....
But then again, i'm not singing back up for my husbands band.
Not that my husband has a band, but you know what i mean.
Pauls new wife has the most realistic looking fake leg i have ever seen.
A bizarre comment i know, but i'm serious.
Have you ever seen it?
shellymc:
I think that it may start below her knee, but the prosthetic is pretty damn impressive.
I can't remember how she lost it.....a motorcycle accident of some sort?

Yes! Very good film, acting is excellent, but the ending always makes me cry.......
i hate when i get sappy.
So girly of me.
I love IMDB, i wish i had all that info at my fingertips when i was a young little shelly
shellymc:
Did you used to live there?
The only other states ive lived in besides Ma. are new york and florida.
We fell in love with new orleans, but between the summer heatwaves and obvious other reasons, decided to just make that a vacation spot.
Everyone i know says we would love oregon.
I do know that a lot of good restaurants and great wine reside there wink

Apparently, if word on the street is correct, it is El Dia de los Mentos, a day in which Mexicans celebrate mediocre mint candies and the stupid TV commercials in which they were advertised.

Buddy you have no idea. I know there are many good people in America like yourself. But it would surprise you how many times in everyday conversation that you will hear a Canadian say "Holy fuck, am I ever glad I don't live in America" And it's not a slag against Americans, it's just that your seemed disregard for the obvious safeguards and solutions scare the shit out of all non-Americans.

vkeithv:
depends on what you want to do. what days will you be in town? i have to work part of this week but i will have tues-thurs off.

Another weekend passes in which all the tasks I set out to do weren't accomplished even though I clearly had enough time for them all. That settles it. I just need to set the bar lower.

The cable modem wasn't working for parts of recent days. Once it was unplugged for an hour, though, it started back up with no problems. I am reminded again...

ahh, the new york football giants and the colts. would be interesting. but i doubt it will happen. most likely atlanta this year (though dallas could pull it together) or the vikings. haha.
yeah, i remember (barely) when they started doing the halloween shows. good stuff.
vkeithv:
if indianapolis wins, everyone will blaim it on the fact that NE has a depleted defense this year. sucks i have to work that night. and the owner will be working that night so i won't be able to turn the tv on at work either.

yeah, but i tend to have too much faith. even though i know i'm going to get burned, it still sucks. oh well.

The most underrated movie of the 1990s? No doubt what it is!

I obviously work in a caring, meticulous environment.

i think the key to beating NE...four solid quarters of football. too many teams let brady and company come back in the fourth. is it that hard to keep a lead and not let them score twice in the last few minutes? oh, yeah, i guess it must be.
vkeithv:
i think because at a sgco party friday night we discovered that i looked rather gay wearing lacey's costume (the boyscout shirt. though i was much cuter!).

An idea stolen from other journals...

Twenty random facts about me. Prepare to be underwhelmed.

1. The seeds of my vegetarianism began in Wales back when I was 10. I saw all of the sheep on the hillsides and resolved not to eat them any more. It took me about 13 years to give up meat altogether.

2. Please don't take your blood pressure in...

How did the talk go?
my day was just about working....and work was not too busy, in case i didn't tell you before, i work the front desk at an animal hospital. The animals are a lot more kinder than the people.
Glad you had a good time tonight
shellymc:
Yes, sometimes the work is a little hearbreaking, other days a little more joyful.
Today it was one in between, got to see a few puppies and kittens, and had to deal with a few euthanasias. All in a days work i suppose. Glad to hear you had a good night.
I'm off to bed, i will talk to you soon (probably tomm. nite) Have a good one biggrin

I will be heading to Maine for my near-annual visit on an overnight Wednesday flight, but, while I'm going to be seeing my parents and friends, I'm feeling anxious for some reason. surreal I don't quite understand my brain sometimes.

Today's quote comes to us from Krusty the Klown's accountant: "Gambling is the finest thing a person can do *if* he's good at it." And, thanks...

Well, maine does have the kickass lobster...eh, sorry to offend your vegan ways
But i do love the seafood smile
shellymc:
I did not know that! In Louisiana, crawfish are the poormans shrimp, and they call them "mudbugs" because they are bottom feeders.

Yes, yes, I know that I posted this in the Dogs group, but so what. Make sure that you check out the photo gallery, too.

Sometimes, I just feel as though I'm not doing all that much with my life. But, then, I realise that I can take a boat---why swim?

I didn't feel especially well this morning and thus called in sick. Yet here I am on the SG site before the work day is done. Should I be feeling guilty?

Thank you! biggrin I was surprised it went up so quickly.

I'm jealous. I don't have the balls to call in sick even when I AM sick. Hope you enjoyed your day off.

well, i was hoping san diego would win. but, i guess they didn't. i'm not happy ben is out though. hopefully it's not a big deal. they need him to win.

vkeithv:
i'm not sure about the game tonight. both teams can be a problem later in the year for indy. san diego is on fire and pittsburgh is just good.

I seem to be less misanthropic at the moment than I was earlier in the week. This is good.

It's nice to know that dolphins can sing such a fine song. I'm sure that Mayor Adam West would approve.

Adam West did not make any special appearances in my dreams last night....not that i realy remember my dreams most of the time. And while i like the idea of all the coffehouses where you live, i heard the rainy weather causes many residents a heavy case of the blues. If i lived there i would probably console myself with heaping cups of coffee, caffeine being in the top five of my vices. Hope you have a good day, i'm wishing i could take a day off from work, but im saving that day for next week when i attend the SG show biggrin

Wed. oct 12th....i went last year also, had a great time but damn was it packed, have a feeling its gonna be even moreso this time around
