So, met my first SG'ers in the flesh and they were all a wonderful group. Jones is a nice place to have a drink (thankfully going off hours means missing all the poser, industry humps). It was great to talk to everyone, even if it was just for a little while and I hope I didn't ramble too much.

The bachelor party on Saturday night...

So, in the cold, blurry, hungover light of day, it occurs to me that I come off like an angry, bitter, lazy, little bitch. Now, I admit that is part of my charm. But I am so much more. I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it...people like me. And I like them...so perhaps today instead of complaining and spinning out of my mind,...

So, I'm tortured. I went out for sushi and to see Kill Bill vol. 2 with my awesome friends Matt and Lisa. It was perfectly fine. The tortured part comes with the other company. Matt's ex moved here a month ago. She's a SG all the way. Tat's, piercings, super cool. Funny, smart...now is she the ONE I've been looking for? No. Is she even...

So, I'm feeling a wee bit better about the work situation. We'll see what happens. In the meantime we may have a rewriting gig on a title I really wanted to write in the first place. Silly rabbit should have hired us to begin with.

My friend is getting married in two weeks and his bachelor party is this Saturday. His request was NO strip...

So, work was something of a giant suckfest today. The issues basically boil down to lack of executive vision and ANOTHER creative ceiling squashed down on my head. Apparently personal growth always needs to be difficult and stifled.

As a result I have a huge headache and my neck feels like its going to snap off. I carry all my tension in my neck...I'm going...

The neck pain is the third head getting ready to push its way through. wink

No, it isn't wrong to want to succeed beyond your own personal expectations. Just remember that that doesn't always happen in the work place. Gotta love that unsolicited advice. blush

So who is your favorite Twin Peaks character? I'm a big Bobby and Shelly fan, but . . . Windom Earl. Now THAT is entertainment. wink

So, I was doing laundry today and I keep my detergent under my bathroom sink. Well, the box was all moldy and I thought "hey, why is the box all moldy?" Well, it's because there has apparently been a slow leak under the sink that's probably been ongoing for a few weeks. So everything underneath the sink is chock-ful of mold and spores and nasty...

So, I went out to my friends b-day party at the Cat n' Fiddle in Hollywood. Good time. I drank quite a bit. But all different kinds of alcohol...so...that just means I'm sad.

It was more or less a TP gathering...most of them friends I haven't seen in awhile. It was my friend Terri's B-day. I gave her a duck, which is my version of...

Hey man. I dig the Cat n' Fiddle, but I haven't been there since the DGA's premiere screening of the 2nd "Matrix" movie last year - some of us went there for dinner afterward.

And as for namedropping, it happens sometimes, eh? It's an unavoidable consequence of living here and working in the business. And like the man said: it ain't braggin' if it's true.

I get from your profile that you'd enjoy the group and be good for it. Email me through the link in my profile. Under someone's picture is the "Contact" link. Follow that, then email from that panel. It forwards to whatever default email account the user has associated with the site.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

So, just got back from playing poker. I came in second, then won...all the more impressive because in the middle of the round, those people that had gone out were watching TV and an old episode of HBO's Real Sex was on. It's the one with the lesbian strap-on party. That's like my favorite one ever. I love the girl with the big scorpion tattoo....

Well, I had today off, so instead of being productive or anything I slept late...got up...then went back to bed again. I did a job around the block, but now I just feel tired again...

Just feeling lonely again I spose...I think I'll call some friends and vent my...spleen? Hmm, not actually sure what I'm venting but I do need to talk to someone...right...thanks for...

So, I got an email from my friend. As a result of her recent episode, she got fired from her job. She's moving in with her friend, but they don't have a phone yet. She hadn't gone to see a doctor and she knew it would be a hard road...I offered as much encouragment as I could.

But then I go on the board we're...

hey... saw yr comment about OZ.. anyway i thought you'd be interested to know about the book which supposedly inspired the Homicide: Life on the Street series...
Its called Homicide and its by a guy called David Simon I think... basically the story of him being an investigative journalist or some such and tagging along with the Baltimore Homicide Dept for a year, following them to crime scenes, interrogations, autopsies... the works... really great book.
