So, I got a little melancholy this weekend owing to something that happened last year at this time.

I had met a girl through another website, M. She lives in San Diego. She's nine years younger, cute, very SG. We'd met in person and kept in touch every so often via email. We'd planned to go with a group of other friends to Disneyland. That...

sleepy. I hope you're feeling better than this weekend. I know how those feelings can linger. I wish I could cheer you up.

maybe knowing that you are sleeping warmly in your bed while I go off into the still dark dawn to face certain dental torture will make you feel better.

*ponders* there's something wrong with that sentence, but my brain's been removed and my head filled with some sorta sanitized fluff. surreal robot kiss

ps. did you listen to any of the Oh Susannah?

edit: apparently I'm really out of it. I substituted dead for bed. shocked

Oh, and this is the other woman from the tour: Veda Hille. She's a consummate musician. Her voice and style remind me a little Tori Amos. You might like her as well. smile robot kiss

ps. I forgot to mention, there are samples in the discography section.

I'd love to take you home with me and tuck you into bed
I'd love to see what makes you tick inside your pretty head
I wish that I could keep you in a precious Chinese box
On Sundays I would pray for you so it would never stop
I'd love to hear you laugh tonight, I'd love to hear you weep
I'd love to...

So, Sunday was spent at work, first with a story meeting, then working late. However, I did have time to run off to Jones for a nice Filmmakers Lounge gethering. Got to catch up with Cineman, anticus, vikpreZ, bloodandtits, Roxy and rawr_ima_monster. Good times and fine conversation. I had to leave early to continue work, but I'd like to think...

So, I'm over at the boss's house, getting an early start on the weekend with an apple martini and several rounds of 'Star Wars: Battlefront.' (I killed 5 Wookie's!)

Of course I'll be working tomorrow and Sunday, but oh well, such is life. Monday it's off to San Diego for another business trip.

I finally have nearly full movement in my arms after Monday's train...

Battlefront roxors. I was addicted. But then, I lent it to a friend...So I just have my Doom 3 to comfort me... frown

Thanks, babe. I won't be getting "Too big for my britches" anytime soon, though. My life has been one humbling event from the start. Love ya! kiss

So, I went to my first workout session at my new gym. They give you the complimentary personal training session and I was hoping it would be more of a basic introduction to the gym, various machines, proper technique etc. And I promised myself I wouldn't overdo the first session, so as not to be wiped out for the rest of the week. whatever

Jeff is...

I'm afraid I won't be sparing Nyquil anytime soon. It's like my seasonal heroin. Oh, what the hell, I'll share the green kind with you. It doesn't taste as good anyway. wink

So, I spent the day stuffed in our conference room with four other writers working on the big rewrite project we've been hammering at the past few months. The biggest issue is rewriting lines for two big name celebrities...differing issues for both, certainly a challenge. Only in Hollywood. (Don't worry, when I can I'll spill the beans.)

Several people have dropped off my friends list...

Yeah, I'm a little thrown by the dating profile thing, too. I'm not filling mine out.

Thanks for the hugs, I think I appreciate it more than little Fricassee. smile
redheaddevil:
Yeah, the reason I joined up here is because it wasn't all about dating! I suppose you can still opt to not fill out the dating profile, but, it is still a bit wierd. Ah well, nothing stays the same forever.

I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you
Because you're mine, I walk the line

So, we're having a company party on the roof of the building tonight. It's the first one, first time...could be cool or could suck. (Although...

I think you should put the picture with your new haircut in your pictures folder. You look adorable in it.

I packed up a package for you. I didn't have a box which fit, so I cut one down and taped the hell out of it. I think it now looks like it fits the profile for something which might be approached by a counterterrorism unit: tape everywhere. It also looks like it was packed by squirrels with ADD (which it was!) I'll mail it off today via xpresspost, which means you should have it some time next year. wink I love Canada Post. robot kiss

So, I occasionally know people who know people and so I just got back from a press screening of 'Team America: World Police' at the Paramount lot. Matt Stone introduced the movie and he said it was still decidedly unfinished (they're currently still scoring and mixing and such, even though it comes out in two weeks.)

All in all, it was pretty funny, including two...

Hey, I just wanted to say that the link to that C.I.A. place is so appreciated... I am still sort of new'ish here in LA and north Hollywood isn't very far away, so I'm definitely going to make it out to one of their upcoming events...but I don't know any of the bands that are playing, perhaps you could suggest a good night to go? Is it open when there aren't gigs just to go have drinks or whatever?

So, been a pretty busy week so far:

--Went to an SGLA Tuesday dinner at the world famous Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake. Hung out with a myriad of cool people, most of which are or have been added to my friend's list. Friends are cool...especially when you get to see them eat in person.

--Afterward, went to daveunderthebed's apartment with Troublemaker and...

So, heading off to see Sting and Annie Lennox at the Hollywood Bowl on Wed. Sting was the first non hair band concert I ever went to way back when and it still ranks as one of the top three I've ever been too.

Music is good.

It's murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC

Likewise, I'm sure! smile

You should definitely see Body Worlds. It's here until January, though, so there isn't any rush. My advice would be to see it during the day if you can manage. I understand it gets quite crowded...

BTW, strange foreign porn is highly underrated! biggrin
