"These Tacos Taste Like Spreadsheets"
So, curiosity and hunger drove me to a new Taco place that had openned in town. The reason that I was even interested i this was because of some publicity drummed up in the press by the new business partners involved in the emerging franchise, a local salsa singing star and her husband, who press reports had investing in a legendary "hole in the wall" taco place, which reputedly sold excellent tacos. Red flag anyone?
The place openned, and I was curious to see if those taco's were as good as the buzz had me believe. I ordered burritos and nachos...
Now, celebrity involvement in a business venture is more likely to harm than benefit a small but good eating joint. This I theorized as I bit into some of the worst tasting dogshit I've had in recent memory. It was apparent from the get-go These taco's were not made by cooks, but by accountants: Annoyingly small portions (in itself a travesty of mexican food) poor quality of ingredients and soda cups fit for smurfs. There's only place for one Taco Bell on this earth, and even their shitty take on mexican was a couple notches superior.
So my advice to Harry and his formerly legendary (now infamous) taco's:
Keep mediocre pop stars and their useless spouses of your menu.
