I'm busily packing for my move. I've got the apartment (2415 at the Springs on 5th, if anyone's interested). Tomorrow I've got to call all the utilities and get everything moved over, and reserve a U-Haul.

The place is already starting to look emptier though. Almost all my books are packed, and the little knick-knacks in room are mostly packed, and I've got two cloests empty, and the whole thing just suddenly feels very REAL to me.

I'm gonna miss Coliwali a whole goddamn lot.

I told squishy that I was gonna kinda avoid her a bit, give us both a break (her from my drama, me so that I calm down a bit). I think I want to be more than friends, but she doesn't, and I don't want to lose what I've got now (someone who's rapidly becoming a very close friend).

Man, I'm moving on Saturday! I've got to have everything packed by then. I've got some friends coming up from SV to help, and my family too.

I don't know what else to write, so I'm gonna go have a drink or three and think.

Did you ever know anyone who worked there? You look wayyyy too familiar to me for it to just be coincidence. Then again... in that little hole of a town everybody knows just about everybody else, so it's probably just that I saw you at Denny's or Famous Sams or something.

Dear SuperGP,

How are you doing? Things here are good; we have just crossed the Tenwater and the men are all preparing battlements for tomorrow's battle. Most of _my_ time, on the other hand, is spent at IHOP, smiling at strangers and getting drinks.

In other news, my wagon has a broken axle and we must stop to repair it. I will send the boys, Jonathan and Theodore, out hunting for buffalo. Even if they can only haul back 200 pounds or so of the meat, that should sustain us for some time.

Duke Szforza sent his guards to my home last night and burned the place down. I was at a dear friend's house, who hides me still, but i weep for my wife and children. May the Lord who is merciful show kindness to them, here and forevermore. May He also strike down the Duke in glorious fury.

My brother and I are encamped near a high cliff, looking down on the Wandering Woods. My heart is wearying, after the death-defying crossing of the Cheese Bridge and the intense struggle with Sir Ludwig. But we must press on. We must find the sunken ghost ship and save our dear princess.

The girl seems to be getting along rather nicely now that we've managed to isolate her from her former peer group (such an hideous influence, that). She is still showing some reluctance with the long 'a' sound, but Mr. Higgins is most insistent; so strong, so deep is his commitment to the task that he refuses to allow the girl to eat until she pronounces this vowel correctly! Oh, that i were half the man he is...

Lately, it's been very difficult to get time away from work. Much of this is my own fault, as i rarely if ever turn down a shift. I've been ending up with one day off per week, Saturday, and i try to spend that time with the girl with whom i've fallen completely in love. Other free time is in the middle of the night, which is usually spent reading classicesque literature, learning Spanish, or working on math. The _trouble_ is, weekdays are entirely out as i start working as you get off work, and i usually get off at about midnight - far too late for a rendezvous. Weekends are also, for the most part, out, as Sundays i usually end up with a double shift and Saturdays, which evenings i have free, i try to spend with that girl. Maybe someday i will get a Saturday morning off.

Maybe then.
