I think the reason that I'm so moody lately is I'm having a few problems coming to grips with the fact that I'm turning 30 this year.

Not like massive problems or anything...

But I'm going through the classic "what have I done", "what am i going to do", "what does it all mean" sort of thing.

Hmm.

Update: As I was looking for guitar strings today, I dragged my old Les Paul case out of the basement. Just having the case in my hands felt good. It reminded me of all the years that I was dragging it off to this gig or that rehearsal or the next recording session - it was my weapon of choice and we had places to go! Its weight - even without the guitar in it - was instantly familiar and comforting. I recognized every mark on it - the torn leather, the frayed stitching in the handle, the missing brass button on the bottom, and the one latch that never quite opens properly until you get all Fonzie on the top of the case and give it that one thump to make it pop open.

Christ, it felt good to get reconnected to all that for a moment.

When you turn 30 somebody secretly takes you aside and answers those questions. I can't say anything more, excpet that the knowledge comes too late.

that would be so cool to be roommates! I'm sure you are an excellent roommate. Probably better than Angelina Jolie, because who wants those two kids around all the time?

Fortunately, we are across the street from U of T, so renting for Sept. 1 should still not be a problem. I just wish I had written down the phone numbers of the people who called after we had rented it. or that evil sprint Canada didn't limit my mailbox to approximately 4 messages, or I would have at least saved them all. frown
