In a little while, I'll go to sleep next to her for the last time.

I'll wake up, we'll go pick up the rental van, we'll go to the Ikea, we'll come back, we'll move all her stuff out of this apartment and into her new place.

It's going to suck.

I gave notice on this place today. I wish that I was moving somewhere new tomorrow as well. Even though this place was my place for nine months or so before it became our place... it's just not going to feel right as my place again. I'd like a fresh start.

And plus, eight hundred bones a month is way too much for this tiny apartment in this rotten neighbourhood. I want cheaper or bigger. And ideally both. smile

But I have two more months here. I'm left in the unenviable position of trying to find a decent place that works well as nice and cheap a month after the university crowd has returned and snapped up all the prime real estate.

Shitty.

But I'll manage. The motto for this weekend is 'tough as nails'. I think we can both deal with how hard this will be on ourselves. What kills us is seeing how hard it is on one another.

So. Tough as nails. I can do that for one day. Then it'll be a bit of time off. And then we'll see what happens from there.

I know what it's like to live in a place after the ex moves out. That's how I ended up putting the bed in the living room for the last three months of a lease. tongue It really is hard, even if I'm not living with them. After my last ex and I broke up, I switched my room around and stopped wearing the body oil he liked.

And I ended up getting a job.. so I'll have to put the assitant job on hold. But it's only temp, so after Sep, I'm unemployed again!
