You know that Sesame Street song about the bus stop?
Something along the lines of:
Meet me at the bus stop
Down on the corner by the Five and Dime
Meet me at the bus stop
We'll go and have a good time
I've got a version of that in my head on a near constant loop (although it is duking it out with Mike Keneally's "Live in Japan" which has the best guitar riff I've heard all year - but only at the very start and end of the song!!! Gah!), only this version doesn't actually exist, so I can't just throw it on and exorcise it.
I'm thinking slow, sexy, trashy jazz like Big Rude Jake might hit in low gear, only with Tom Waits on vocals. And damn it's catchy.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth me throwing together a version for kicks.
Have you ever been brushing your teeth and accidentally swallowed a bit of mouthwash? Holy hell that is some vile, vile stuff. (A vile vial, perhaps?) I have no idea how those guys who seem to live in the building's carport can choke it back. Just a few drops and I'm nearly in convulsions.
Say it with me, kids: ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Anyways, the lads from work are meeting for another night of debauchery in less than 90 minutes, so I'd better polish up and get ready to go get my groove thang on. It's weird - this is such an insane two weeks at work, but we're playing just as hard as we're working. We closed the joint on Monday, and I fully expect we'll close the joint tonight.
And when we get down, dear folk, we get down, as few have before or will again.
I can't stop giggling at a joke I made a few days ago - the punchline of which was "like some kind of caligulan juicer".
I think I'm a very, very bad person.
Stream of consciousness enough for you?

Hope you had a devilishly fun night!
(By the way, this guy I know met Vonneguut and hated him... kind of a let-down as he'd named his cat Vonnegut... but I'd still like to meet him myself.)
