Yesterday:

Woke up.

Showered.

Went to work.

Worked.

Discovered a jazz version of Roxy Music's "More than This" by Charlie Hunter with Norah Jones on vocals that I didn't even know I had, and is so freaking sexy that it could honestly have any two people at random gettin' jiggy with it by the first chorus.

Argued passionately about inane topics with strangers on the interweb. (Not SG - I check that nonsense at the door with my coat and mittens.)

Went to see Return of the King.

Went back to work.

Worked more.

Went out to dinner with some friends from work to say hi to a girl who was back in town from waaaaaaaaay out East, even though she was only at the company for like a month after I started and was in a different department entirely, and I think I met her in the most casual passing at a Thai Place (home of the much-storied pad thai) once but that was totally it. I'm not passing any kind of judgement on her She proved a very nice girl, and she and her husband (who sounded about a billion times more qualified to do my job than me - yikes!) were absolutely charming dinner companions. But still.

Came home.

Made dinner for the gf.

And I'm quite certain that I did something in the hours between when I did that and when I finally surrendered myself to sleep. But damned if I can remember what.
