So I work at a place called Blind

I would like to share with you the annoying wrong number/wrong building type things I have gotten

The obvious call I get once a week
"Hi, do you sell blinds?"
"No mam, we do motion graphics"
"How about drapes or other window dressings?"
"Mam, we do not do those, we do commercials and music videos"
"Oh... so no window treatments at all?"




A conversation I had with 5 different people the first month or so I worked here

"Hi is this a gym?"
"No mam"
"But this is 18th and Olympic"
"No actually it isn't. 18th is further down"
"So you aren't a gym?"
"No"
"But I thought you did personal training??"
"No"
"Do you know where the personal trainer is?"
"No"
"So this isn't 18th??"
"NO!"


The old woman who rang out doorbell and wouldn't go away

"I'm looking for Ava"
"I'm sorry, no one named Ava is working here today. Is she a freelancer?"
"She's an Israeli art student here on a grant
"........ Um, I think you have the wrong building"
"Don't you do art? This looks like a place for art"
"No mam, we do motion graphics"
"She's from Israel"
"Yes mam, but she isn't here"
"Her name is Ava, she's here on a grant. Is she in the back?"
"Mam, we do not have an Israeli art student named Ava who is here on a grant"
"Are you sure?"
"mam, we are not an art studio, we do commercials and music videos"
"So Ava's not here?"
"No mam"
"But she's an art student here on a grant from Israel"
"There is NO one named Ava here, sorry,"


4 minutes later doorbell rings

"Are you sure Ava isn't here?"
"YES!"


The people looking for a place for lease

"Hi, is this the building for lease"
"Umm no sir,"
"But this is the right street"
"Sir do you have the address?"
"Well no, but this is the right place"
"Sorry sir, we aren't leasing this place."

5 minutes later he comes back with a woman

"This IS the building for lease"
"No mam, and sir, this building is NOT for lease"
"But this is the right place"
"This is 1728, is that the address?"
"Well I don't KNOW the address, but this is the cross street of 18th"
"No mam, it isn't"
"Yes it is"
"No, 18th is down further"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes"
"So this place isn't for lease?"
"NO"


and people wonder why I am cranky....
