I had my first temp job. It was awesome. I talked to Scott Glosserman, the writer/director of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. I turned twenty shades of blush. I was given full permission and in fact, was told by my boss to gush about my fandom. It was pretty.
Oh and since I returned all that furniture my mother was going to buy I now have uber gift cards for pottery barn and crate and barrel. So I'm set for weddings for the next few marriages.
And here is the big news. I HAVE A TEMP TO PERM JOB!! As in I start as a temp and if they like me I'll be hired full time. It's for a post production "boutique". So I should learn a lot while I'm there, a lot about all aspects of post production. I start tomorrow morning.
Oh yeah, what's my job? Receptionist. Ya gotta start somewhere. So I'll watch the phones, greet people, and be welcoming. I think this will be a place where I can learn a lot. They have tons of post equipment, and if you work there for three months they help foot the bill for classes. It's decent money, they give you lunch everyday (yummy and free), and I will actually get to learn some of the stuff I didn't get to learn about post production in college. I won't be paying to learn anymore, they will be paying me and I'll get to steal time of stuff and learn while getting paid.
Oh yeah and "Lick of Frost" is a really dirty title for a book. And I'm going to read it as soon as it comes out, cause it's Laurell K Hamilton and it's the next in the series.
Lick.. ha it's like a dirty word but not. Like Moist.
And I want pancakes. And for someone to take me to the movies or on a date. Or just the movies. Or comic store.
And I got a bee sting on my neck and it hurts is painful and itches and looks horrible. No, it's not a hickey!!!! It's a big painful bug bite sting thing and it hurts.
And I need a new Halloween costume and a Halloween party to go to. Wonder if it would be appropriate for me to wear bunny ears to work on Halloween.
