Did you know that the 20 year anniversary of SuicideGirls is coming up in September?!
2001-2021! Crazy! I've been lucky enough to have found this little corner of the internet in 2004 or maybe 2005. I became a member and immediately knew I was home.
In the 20 years SuicideGirls has been around, it has been the catalyst for the creation of so many things. The biggest things are the friendships and connections with like-minded people all over the globe. I am so grateful to @missy and @sean for creating this community and allowing me to be a part of it.
This won't be, THE flash back- happy anniversary SG blog, but here are a few memories I've been collecting of the WAY WAY back times.
I'll be posting some blogs periodically sharing my love and memories of SG over the years.
The picture below is my very FIRST picture at an SG event. Hell City in Columbus OH in 2005 or 6... You may recognize @campbell @eliska @anna @wendy @madison @amina @taye @pistolita @drave @alisa @zuki (I didn't tag everyone so feel free to tag in comments if you know, but I'm kind of impressed with how many I did remember in a few seconds, considering its been 15 years since I've seen some of these babes).

I became a member of SuicideGirls in 2005. A SuicideGirl in 2006, A Photography Assistant in 2007, A Party Planner in 2008, A Merch Booth Manager in 2009, An Staff Photographer in 2011, A Tour Manager in 2013, A Booking Agent in 2014. :) I love working with SG and spreading our message all over the globe.
In the early days @alissa andI started throwing parties in Columbus Ohio. :)
first at a dive bar
and later at clubs with fire spinners and live bands and performances.
The parties got bigger and bigger.
And then we all moved and the midwest crew stopped gathering for big parties, but lately, maybe its the pandemic or the 20 year anniversary but it has felt like its time. Time to rally the troops and make some new friendships.
Once the world is safe for travels and gatherings, I hope we can all connect with a local group near you to celebrate SuicideGirls 20 year anniversary with a nice not socially distanced party. :)
Cautiously, hypothetically, I'm planning a meet-up and reunion party back in Columbus for HELL CITY TATTOO IN MAY 2022 along with the beautiful @shotgun :) Hope to see many of you there!
Hope to create even more memories and friendships in the next 20 years of SG! :)
How long have YOU been a member of SG? Have you made life long friends here? Or at least had some fun time with random people at a meet up, burlesque show or event? If not, you get out of SG what you put in. Show up and put yourself out there. Its an amazing community! Online or in person <3
