SuicideGirls is hiring a Tour Assistant/DJ for the US Blackheart Burlesque Spring Tour 2017 (April 10-June 30 2017)
Multiple positions are available- positions are 2 weeks each
The Tour Assistant/DJ position runs for 2 weeks and pays $500/week (plus travel to and from tour, 2 meals per show day, daily travel with the tour, and lodging on bus or in hotels depending on route, as well as memories of a lifetime.
About the job:
Tour assistant/DJ position is basically an internship (with pay, travel and tons of perks) If you're the right person, it could be one of the best experiences of your life.
Job Duties include but are NOT LIMITED TO:
*Help with load and unload of gear for each show. Help carry merch and costume cases up stairs or around the corner or whoever they need to go.
*Assist Merch coordinator with merch set up and break down as well as assist her with merch sales at peak times of the night (during VIP, and immediately after show)
*Perform DJ set prior to Blackheart Burlesque show
*Control music for the Blackheart Burlesque show (on stage)
*Find food on show days twice a day- take suggestions from the girls, give options, get feedback, find food, order food, pick up food, verify it is correct- 2x/day on show days.
*Help keep bus clean: straighten, wipe down surfaces with antibacterial wipes, keep fridge cleaned and organized and meals dated, empty bathroom trash into main trash for driver to take out
*Social media: Help film or post on the SG social media accounts when asked
*Runner: run errands on show days if needed

Being on a tour means having flexible sleep schedules, unpredictable showers, no personal space but it also means lots of cuddles, meeting and entertaining people (like local SGs, members and fans), signing autographs and doing public appearances, seeing new places (possibly only for a brief time). Being on the road is hard work but can be fun and really fulfilling.
