all this suicidegirl slam shit is nuts. i love how hating suicidegirls is the new cool thing to do. how jumping off the bandwagon of anything almost mainstream and seeking out other sites that are labeled alt-porn is the equivalent to knowing about some german french disco band or some african modernist silent film experiment. i was just reading the la weekly, and there's an article about the up-coming suicidegirls show next week. the rad thing was it wasn't an article at all, but another regurgitated critique of this site and what it stands for. the article starts off with a direct slam, into a too cool ("i looked at the site for the first time in 3 years." bullshit), then goes into a i know more than you (historical empowered women) and finishes off with some words of wisdom (dont be a follower, think different type of shit). this site is what it is, a website of well shot photos of gorgeous tattooed/metal/punk/insert clique women. with a community side that makes this shit personal, and gets people to open up and let you look inside their world because they feel comfortable enough here to upload pics of their lives, children, and buttholes.
