I worked the entire day and forgot to take lunch. didn't even get hungry. just working away soldering pipes together.
I did get one of my projects done though. 8 new driplines in two greenhouses, with drain valves, and a blowout point. pressure tested, and passed. woo hoo.
also this morning at work, when I clocked in, someone had cut out a Doonesbury cartoon, the one pictured here, and stuck it on the board in the breakroom. something about a wheelchair ramp not being built to code. and then above it someone hand wrote "Sound familiar?!!?"
Now I'm usually the one who does this sort of thing, but early in the morning the last thing I want to see is someone complaining about shit.
So I very nicely wrote out a note next to it saying: "At least her dad was able to come up to the house during Christmas. So quit complaining!"
that made me happy for the rest of the day.
