I took a look at a yard today that I'll be landscaping in the spring. and it looks promising--the yard. The yard has potential, although its a bit hard to see with all the leaves on the ground. I'm really wanting to see the place in the spring time, and see what is alive, and what isn't...
I have to tear out a bunch of stuff, especially Yews. A New England staple that really should be allowed to fade into the past.
Yews are fine, I think, if you let them get large enough, and you can really start shaping them into something cool looking. but I never liked them when they're little. Of course they can get too big, I have that problem in my back yard. They're huge. But they also fill in the space below the window.
Ahh well.

I went to a cocktail party yesterday, and going to another one tonight. Last night's was right after work, today however since I'm at home, I at least won't be smelling like a Christmas tree tonight.
