I do miss my friend. He helped me through many a problem while I was in school. But we also had many laughs together.
He kept joking about how he really wanted to go to the club some night and find a cute submissive guy he could order around.
But I'll also miss the fact that when I was having a problem, and even if I kind of knew what the answer was, I could go to him, and he would lead me in the right direction. He was pretty much always right.
Thomas worked security at the BU dorms, and everynight when he started his shift, there would always be a small gathering of students waiting there to hang out with him, or just say "hi."
We once went to Vinny Testa's and sat at the bar downstairs having Magaritas. There was so much liquor in one of those. We each had one through an entire meal, and we were still soused after that. Soused and roaming through the streets of Boston in the middle of summer.
fun times.
A holdover from Thursday:
I just found out that a good friend of mine died. We had been out of touch for a little while, which had happend before, but never really affected us. I read a newspaper article from about a year ago that he had died suddenly from a bout with pneumonia.
I wish I had known sooner, but I would feel then what I feel now. That it happened a year ago doesn't make it any easier.
He was my friend,
Mr. Thomas.
Mr. Thomas Grimes, as his nametag would say.
