sad day. my daughters dentist passed away. She was just talking about him 3 days ago and how he would be so proud of her for her brushing her teeth more! I feel so bad for her. The bf, gf and I sat down and told her today, she cried so hard her little body was shaking.

Opinion.....was it the right decision to tell a 6 year old that her dentist died?

She seems better now but she just told me she is very sad that he is gone and she doesnt want another dentist.

that's a tough one... she was gonna find out sooner or later tho, and my theory is, better to do it now than risk her maybe finding out later that you kept it from her and ALSO being upset about that...

You showed trust in her relationship with you to tell her, you didn't hide a tough truth from a young girl, and while it may have hurt to hear it, better to hear it and be cushioned and loved than to hear it without that safety net.

I'd say Mae, Oracle, and Skull are wise.
