Ok
I guess it's been too long since I checked my mail because I have none. This happens when you leave it in there too long and they run out of space. They think you no longer live there. I guess it's been a week or two since I checked. Probably two. They take the mail and hold it at the local post office, and put a new customer slip in the box (I live in a duplex and have lock box).
You see, I hate mail, paying bills, and all that shit. The important stuff I put on autopay with the online billpay service, the rest I deal with in one huge mail handling session every month. I literally put my mail in a pile (picking out my magazines) when I get it and when it gets big enough, or when I get overly worried about not having paid the 'lectric bill for a spell, I sort and handle. This is usually an hour to two hour ordeal, and it often gets put off longer than it should. Of course, when I'm expecting something I check it frequently but when nothing is expected I guess I kind of forget about it. I know this is a bad way to do the bills, but it's the way that works for me (My dad does it the same way so I guess it's in the genes). Stupid of me really. Mail just isn't important to me anymore. I am going to look into paying all my bills online through this company my boss uses. His bills are sent to this company where they are scanned and he looks at them online. They never go to his house. The credit cards still do because they have to come to your house, but Amex you can pay online, and push come to shove I can deal with Amex only. Right. I stop checking my mail and they forget I live here. Hmm taxes could be difficult, sure there's a way.
Strangely enough, I used to love the mail. I had a pen pal in Erie, Pa from 15-19. Phoebe. She was the girl I lost my virginity to. Ahh good times. Man I hope she's doing good now. We ended on a bad note and I found her once through an agency and the agency contacted her and told her I was looking for her and she declined to give them permission to give me her new address. I let it lie. Even though it ended bad, I have fond memories of her and the time we had. She meant something to me. We both kind of made some wrong moves and it just ended, the communication closed up and ended. We were young and stupid. Wow, what a memory.
Ok enough free association blogging for today. While typing I've been listening to The Futureheads who fuckin' rock! I've been hearing them on 88.5 (local college) a lot lately and just checked out their website. Their music makes me happy. Gonna have to buy that one. Nice guitar riffs. Kind of reminiscent of the Clash, but not. This could get stuck in the cd player.
so what's everybody llistening to?

Of course I have work to do. Why do you think I'm screwing around on SG? I also have a cat named Franklin, after the other Roosevelt.
