UPDATE: well, at the risk of tarnishing my image as a grumpy liberal type dude, i wish to bring you all good news on this friday morning. two u.s. circuit courts have upheld decisions that protect the rights of the accused. (p)resident dickhead plans to appeal the decisions but the courts are telling us that it is not right to hold u.s. citizens as "enemy combatants" without charges (especially if there is very little evidence and citizens are apprehended on u.s. soil) and that those currently being held in guantanamo are also afforded the right to fair trial and legal representation. this is a step in the right direction.
