"will this week never end?"

yeah. for a three day week, this has been a long one. but luke bought me a kickass new hammer so that makes it a little better. i will be putting the death stick to good use come sunday.
so why, you ask, was this week so not so good? here are but a few choice reasons:
1) i got sick pretty early on tuesday
2) a co worker and his wife were involved in a motorcycle accident. both seem like they will be fine but the early prognosis was not good. one with a broken neck and head injuries, the other with a broken back. they have a kid who is about a year old. just kinda yucky.
3) missed work on wednesday cause i was too ill to attend.
4) my faith in the human race went even further in the red after watching "the pianist". great movie. what the fuck is wrong with people?
5) i may have gotten my sweetie sick too which is not a good thing to have happen.
6) came home last night to find my cat, nate, dead in my yard. the neighbor's dog was pawing at him. normally, all our cats are indoors-only but nate was a master escapist and tended to get out from time to time. there were no real signs of trauma but i don't really trust that dog. will have a necropsy run to try to find out what happened. could have been a stroke or something but he was only about 10 and was really healthy. all of this coming less than three days before i will have a new room added to the house that would have prevented his escape. lots of "what if's" rolling around right now on this one. ugh.
but tomorrow is another weekend. maybe it will breing better times. right? someone, please say "yes".

sorry about your cat. dont be too hard on the dog, he cant help his predjudices. hope your feeling better, and your room goes up without a hitch. new hammers are fun till they cause a new blister.
