Tendonitis is a bitch.

I have overexerted the tendon which binds one of my hip flexor muscles to the medial iliac region of my pelvis. Specifically, it's attached to the rectus femoris muscle, usually the strongest muscle in the body.
People will tell you that the tounge is the strongest muscle, which is true in relative terms. But in terms of absolute strength, the rectus femoris wins, generating up to 800 pounds of torque.
This muscle serves to raise the leg at the hip and to straighten at the knee, among other things.

So, I haven't been able to properly practice kung-fu for a couple of months now. I'm starting to get rusty, but there's not much I can do about it.

I was just reminiscing last night about practicing early in the morning, and how sometimes steam will rise off your body like an aura when it's cold enough.

I also miss hitting people. Hitting people is fun. I think my favorite technique to hit somebody with is a good roundhouse kick to the head, which is hard to land but oh so satifying. Elbows are great; so is a good hammer fist. Another favorite of mine is to dig three fingers into the neck and clutch your opponent's trachea firmly, pulling it slightly away from the esophagus--that really gets their attention without hurting them.

Maybe I can covince one of the drunkards who come over here to spar with me in the yard a little bit. Actually, that's a bad idea. I'll just have to be patient.

I know when I finally go back to class, I'll be out of practice and will probably gey smacked around. Which is actually fun, as long as it's not too painful.

Soon, I shall once again whoop ass. After a few more weeks of physical therapy and iontophoresis, that is.
