I like the rhythm of very short and much longer sentences and the level of physical detail. and the unclear gender of your protagonist so far keeps this interesting for me. It could stand some alternate verbs to supplant 'push' some of the time, and the last sentence might be stronger if the protagonist weren't also describing their enjoyment of his muscles in terms of 'love'.
