Finally some good news to post! the weather is once again making me smile. i was getting seriously depressed during that cold snap. On the upside alot of sleeping was done. To the point i found myself up early every morning. The big bummer came when I missed the SG PDX 4th of July brunch at Laurelthirst. To all who went, HI!! i will catch you lovely people next month.
So now I am cooling off after being in the sun for a couple hours. With a liberal dose of pear vodka and amaretto, limeade becomes an Absolutely divine summer beverage. add a half of fresh lime juice, over ice, stir, don't shake, and enjoy. A bit tart, but I rather like a tart, tangy, with a touch of touch of nut in it, all topped off with a juicy fruitiness. Also helps when coughing fits hit after the bong is abused.

Good to hear someone actually enjoying the sunshine around these parts. Your limeade surprise drink sounds fantastic. I feel the need to hit up Sonic for happy hour and doctor up the limeade a little. (Is that like spiking the punch at prom?)
