For poetry day, I will allow Issa to speak in regards to my sojourn by the sea.

Been here before. There are a million open doors. Only one will set me free. And so I fall against the wall and try to work out what you are to me. (to me, repeat and fade) ~ UNKLE

When is your trip to the seaside?
I love the seaside, I want to hear about you enjoying it.

The Tao is a thing, which accompanies all other things & meets them, which is present when they are overthrown & when they obtain their completion.
Its name is Tranquility amid all disturbances, meaning that such disturbances lead to its perfection.

Man...I identify so much. Trying to find some grounding, now-ing kind of a thing, anchor, or cue. Remembering I'm doing the best I can and that it's not just an "excuse," but it's true. That's all one CAN do, by definition.

What do I with negative or toxic thought habits?
Well in recent months I've been getting better and actually effective in reining in my dark mental digressions. In the best analogy I can think of, I basically get off that horse, and ride another one that's positive. I can't be certain yet, but it can be done in a healthy way, and not in a way which promotes denial or it simply being refusing to confront the source of those toxic thought habits.
Not every toxic thought has some sort of source or root you need to confront. it can just be a bad habit. I'm a Scorpio Moon, which makes me emotionally...um...intense and 'challenging'
Though usually you'd never see it.
The best example is when a totally random rude act of a stranger pisses me off intensely, and it can be just a little thing like...he steps on my toe or something. Or shit customer service. And the degree of my anger and rage is totally out of all proportion to the event. Then I end up brooding. That's not some sort of signal that I'm a troubled child. It just means I've always brooded over things unecessarily. So now I catch myself in the habit, take a breath or two and change horses.
But your dealing with wanting to change yourself. And for that, you need to get used to something that I have trouble with myself. And that's learning not to take yourself too seriously. You can't change easily when there is tension, and being hard on yourself on creates tension. To make a very blah analogy, it's easier to change the shape of a ball of putty, than a ball of steel.
There's benefits to this. When you learn that trick, you stop taking other people too seriously and have much more success dealing with negative or rude people.

I bow to the Soul of all. I bow to my Self. I dont know who I am, so I bow to you, Shiva, my own true Self. I bow to my teachers who loved me with Love. Who took care of me when I couldnt take care of myself. I owe everything to them. How can I repay them? They have everything in the...

The Humble-Bee
Burly, dozing humble-bee,
Where thou art is clime for me.
Let them sail for Porto Rique,
Far-off heats through seas to seek;
I will follow thee alone,
Thou animated torrid-zone!
Zigzag steerer, desert cheerer,
Let me chase thy waving lines;
Keep me nearer, me thy hearer,
Singing over shrubs and vines.
Insect lover of the sun,
Joy of thy dominion!
Sailor of the...

New titles, eh? Well, Lucifer is still ongoing, so you can always pick up more of that. Mike Carey also writes Hellblazer, which is decent. And if you like the Vertigo vibe, you'll probably dig Fables. Lately, I've been getting into a few titles from Oni: Love Fights, which I can't recommend high enough, written and drawn by the incomparable Andi Watson, and the Courtney Crumrin books by Ted Naifah. Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise is one of my longtime faves also.
Saw Bowie (finally) on Monday. I was a bit under the weather, but it was pretty goddamned cool. The guy makes it look so easy.

An e-mail has just been fired off your way, m'dear!
Hope it's some help but, at the very least, it features the WelnTaod origin story.
Looking forward to possibly hearing the one behind 'Starisea'.
And now, to go find worthy poetry to post.

Glad you're feeling good, sweetie.
Yes, spring cleaning is so great. It's almost like I'm cleaning the clutter out of my head.
Thanks for the Stari-sweet compliment.
Much love sent to you. Have a kiss.

I shall store it somewhere deep... That way when I next walk into a record shop, I'll have something to snag rather than blank out and settle for a lackluster album.
Hope your enjoying the weekend, kind friend!
It was said that history like alchemy
Was only a slow transformation
Of an animal going towards the better
Thus, an alliance with angels affirmed itself
And for this salvation,
A beautiful rule became the condition:
Exchange old skins for ampler skies
Let go of the vile and receive spirit
On the road of horizon drawn towards the infinite,
But then one day by the...

starisea, that poem is so marvelous--I'll need to reread it many times! As for opening up, expanding, keep doing this. Keep asking those questions. Curiosity, yes. Press on. So good to see. My senses, they are Divine. I just need to keep exploring and opening mine. Yes, yes, yes...
