I spent last weekend up at my parent's house visiting relatives from my mom's side of the family. The side I love the most. My dad's side is kinda schitzophrenic in the way we interact. His side just isn't big on reunions/get togethers. I totally understand that feeling too, I have it as well. So it's not like I'm mad at my dad's side of the family or anything, I totally understand. We do have a pretty nice time when a get together does happen though.

Also, I took my roomie up to see his parents, since we went to the same high school, he lives in my general area. We got together with another high school buddy of mine and tried to explode a cheap, shoddy, remote control car with misleadingly labeled firecrackers bought from the hillbillies on the corner. The firecrackers my friend purchased were called "Dixie Dynamite" and they looked like M-80s... so they looked pretty powerful. We stuck one in the axel of the shabby car and it didn't even blow off the chrome on the axel. It was very fun though. It was around midnight way down the straight stretch of a country road near my roomie's house. Cornfields on each side. It was a gorgeous evening for such tomfoolery.

Tonight, I'm gonna use my connections at the IMU to sneak some friends up on roof of the SAC tower to watch the fireworks show over at the stadium this evening. It's gonna rock hardcore.
